Trip Overview

This 3-day safari covers three top attractions in Northern Tanzania. While located near one another, each national park features unique aspects; incredible bird sightings in Lake Manyara, including clouds of pink flamingos; mighty elephants in Tarangire National Park; and the endangered rhino in Ngorongoro. Across these three locations, you are sure to capture photos of the Big Five of Africa: elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino and lion.

Remember that this itinerary can be modified to your liking by making the variations you want by selecting the excursions or cultural activities that you like the most or extending your stay in Zanzibar and relaxing on the white sands Beaches (with the corresponding price variation depending on the changes).

Day to day Itinerary

Day 1. ARUSHA – TARANGIRE

After breakfast, we will drive to Tarangire National Park, home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. After entering through the main door we will start the safari; We will be able to see elephants, antelopes, lions, many other animals among the ancient baobab trees within the park. This park is unique and it is never the same on each visit. We will have lunch at the picnic area and then early evening depart to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2. NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast, we will depart with a picnic lunch to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, then we will descend to the base of the crater (the Garden of Eden).  Enjoy the game drives at the crater base home to the rare black Rhino and home to the big five then later on enjoy your lunch at the picnic site before heading back to Karatu town for dinner and overnight.

Day 3. LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK – ARUSHA

This morning, after breakfast, we will head to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a groundwater forest famous for its tree-climbing lions. Large cats such as leopards can rarely be seen here. As with the habitats, the birdlife here is exceptionally diverse. In the middle of the lake, we will often see flocks of pelicans and the pink hue of distant flamingos, while the banks and floodplains feed countless herons, egrets, stilts, stems, spoonbills, African jacana, and other waders. With so much water around, the forests are just as productive, but it is the evergreen forests where we will see some more entertaining species such as the noisy silver-cheeked hornbills, crowned eagles, and crested painted eagles. Then you will depart to Arusha.
