WHAT IS TREKKING? HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM HIKING?
Trekking is a physical activity that consists of walking through natural settings such as mountains, forests, jungles, canyons, or rivers. This is usually combined with other activities in nature such as camping.
Unlike hiking, it requires physical exertion. Hiking usually has a lower degree of difficulty, its routes run along marked trails, tracks, and paths. In trekking, the routes are carried out through isolated places and on some occasions without the help of signs or paths, being in full contact with nature.
Hiking is usually considered a more relaxing activity, while trekking requires prior physical preparation.
