Zanzibar, home to idyllic white sandy beaches with its spectacular sunsets, palm-fringed beaches, turquoise waters, colorful coral reefs, and stunning natural landscapes.
Zanzíbar is the archipelago of Tanzania. It is located on the east coast of Africa and consists of the islands of Unguja (Zanzibar), Pemba, and Mafia, which are often referred to as “the spice islands of the Indian Ocean.”
Sensation of Africa te recommends a minimum stay of 3-5 days on a dream island as the best way to end your trip in Tanzania.
By planning different excursions, you will have the opportunity to visit places of historical interest, engage in water activities, see the unique red colobus monkey, get to know the local people with a tour, or simply relax under the sun with the sound of the waves.
Hearing “the island of Zanzibar” immediately evokes images of a paradise island with soft sand, white beaches, and bright turquoise waters, and… Indeed, this is what you will find!
But traveling there is much more than romantic coasts and beautiful sunsets; these islands offer a kaleidoscope of sights, smells, and flavors that nourish your soul and leave you eagerly anticipating your next journey to this destination.
Choose the dates, activities, and type of accommodation you want in Zanzibar, let us know your preferences, and customize your trip. Zanzibar has many hotels, resorts, cabins, and hostels… but we have selected those that will provide you with the best service.
At Sensation of Africa, we will organize everything for you!
The villages of Nungwi and Kendwa (in the north) offer better accommodations and white sandy beaches, making them the most popular places. There is a wide variety of options with different prices and categories. You will undoubtedly find all the luxuries and comforts you wish to enjoy during your vacation.
If you prefer an alternative accommodation, we have more sustainable and eco-friendly options for those who seek a closer connection with nature. These places use green energy and promote ecotourism, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar while taking care of the planet.
Traveling to Zanzibar is priceless… after a safari in the northern or southern circuit, relaxing on this magnificent island… It’s worth it!
Although Zanzibar is the most famous island of the archipelago, the islands of Mafia and Pemba also have great beauty and are inhabited by beautiful, kind, and persuasive people, with an incredible environment that offers you the opportunity to discover its magic.
Mafia is famous for the sighting of the incredible whale shark passing near the shores, which is why it is also one of the favorite destinations for snorkeling or diving. You can rent a bike to explore the island and visit its beaches, and you may even witness the nesting of sea turtles on its shores or take a beautiful memory by watching little turtles emerging from the eggs!
Pemba remains more wild and authentic because it doesn’t receive as much tourism. Accommodations are modest, although you can choose between 2 luxury hotels or an eco-lodge in the south of the island. In Chake Chake, you can visit the market and the small museum, both of which are very interesting. A tour through the Ngezi forest lets you see the surprising “flying-foxes” (flying foxes) — the largest bats in the world! Hanging from trees by the dozens. We also recommend snorkeling at Missali Island, where you will discover the treasures of the Indian Ocean.
