Dolphin Tour in Zanzibar

Dolphin Tour in Zanzibar. The dolphins of Zanzibar migrate through the waters of the Indian Ocean and can be seen year-round, but the best times to observe them are during the dry season, between December and March.

It is believed that these dolphins are attracted to the warm waters and ocean currents, and their behavior is quite friendly, making Zanzibar an ideal place for tourists who wish to swim or interact with them in their natural habitat.

Zanzibar, known for its rich history and culture, has been an important trade and contact point between different civilizations throughout the centuries. Although it is not known exactly when the dolphins began inhabiting these waters, Zanzibar has been a place of constant interaction between humans and marine nature. Local fishermen have a deep connection with the sea, and dolphins are considered symbols of good luck and protection in some cultures of the region.

Activities

Departure from Kizimkazi beach (south of the island), we will board a boat and head into the waters of the Indian Ocean. We will see dolphins swimming freely and playing in the waves just a few meters from the shore, and we’ll see if they invite us to dive in with them.

We will return to land, eat under the sun on the beach, and have 2 hours of free time to relax or explore this charming fishing village.
